Lumzy started as a refusal — refusing to grow into the kind of agency we kept being hired to clean up after. Fewer people, more ownership.

02 / The standard

Senior hands on everything that matters. The same humans you meet on day one own the work on day three hundred. No juniors stitched onto your account.

Six years later we're still small on purpose. The studio is the product. The team is the moat. Everything else is downstream of that.

From day zero, to now.

Dec '25Month 01

Day zero.

The decision to start. A desk in Mumbai, a domain, a first commit at 2 a.m. No clients, no team — just a refusal to build the kind of software we kept being hired to clean up after.

Jan '26Month 02

The first brief.

A founder we'd worked with before sent the first paid engagement. Three weeks of discovery before a line of production code. The shape of the studio started forming around the work.

First ship.

Shipped a customer dashboard end-to-end. Postgres, TypeScript, Next.js. Two weeks of pair sessions. The first thing we put our name on — and the first Friday teardown.

Settling the stack.

Picked the boring stack on purpose. Wrote the playbook. Seeded the design system. Stopped reaching for the new thing every Monday and started reaching for the proven one.
